A. Department of Basic Sciences:
BSc Chemistry: This three year BSc programme prepares graduates with knowledge and skills in teaching, research and industry.
B. Department of Engineering:
a) BSc Mining & Extractive Metallurgy: This three year programme is new in the Central African region. It is intended to provide high quality technical manpower for the ever expanding mining industries in the region and beyond.
b) BSc Petroleum Engineering Technology: This four year programme like mining, is new in the Central African region. It is intended to provide high quality technical manpower for the ever expanding petroleum industry in the region and beyond.
c) Machinery Tooling & Maintenance: This four year degree programme will prepare students for self employment or employment in the expanding production sectors in Cameroon and the Central African Sub-region.
d) Industrial Chemistry: A four degree programme that prepares graduates for employment in the chemical industry, teaching and research and self employment in the manufacturing of chemical products such as detergents, agro-chemical etc
e) Chemical Engineering : A four year degree programme that prepares graduates for employment in the chemical industry or self employment, teaching and research.
f) Water Resource Systems: A four year degree programme that trains students in water resources management.
g) Surveying and Cartography: Graduates from this four year degree programme will find employment in government, municipal and private corporations.
h) Urban and Regional Development: Graduates from this four year programme will readily find employment in public and urban sectors, in teaching and research.
From a) to f) for holders of at least 2 GCE A’L in Chemistry and/or Physics, Maths; g) and h) for holders of at least 02 GCE A’L in Geography and/or Maths, Physics
C. Department of Agricultural Technologies and Veterinary Medicine:
a) BSc Animal Production: Three year BSc programme places emphasis on practical applications. The University has access to the Presbyterian Rural Training Centre at FONTA with over 250 hectares of land, herds of cows and other animals for practical teaching and research. Graduates will have the potential of self employment as well as employment in public and private animal production and processing corporations, Ministries in charge of animal production ,and related international Organizations.
b) BSc Food Technology: This three year BSc programme prepares graduates with knowledge and skills in food transformation (especially our local foods and animals) into competitive marketable products l for self employment as well as employment in the food industry (brewery, canning bakery, confectionery etc) and teaching,/research institutions, International Food Programmes and food quality control services and many others.
c) BSc Horticulture: This three year BSc programme prepares students for self employment in the international Horticulture industry (Fruits, vegetables, floral and landscaping concerns) and lucrative jobs in agro-industrial concerns, landscaping, environmental services, teaching, floral industry and International jobs.
d) Crop Production: This three year BSc degree programme will equip graduates with various types of Food Production and Food Security techniques that are expected to be available following the expected mechanization of agriculture in progress.
e) Crop Protection: A three year BSc degree programmes that prepares graduates for the vast number of opportunities in agriculture especially in Plant Pathology and Photo Sanitary.
f) Veterinary Medicine: A five year degree programme that prepares graduates for the award of the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
